Cross-border workshop

the Workshop on Cross-border Cooperation During Emergencies was conducted on 17 – 18 November, 2022 in Tbilisi, Georgia, with the aim to enhance the already existing cooperation between the EMTs of Armenia and Georgia, through development of cross-border cooperation plan. The representatives of Armenian and Georgian EMTs and Emergency Management Service, as well as representatives of different EU funded projects/programs, WHO, Institute of Earth Sciences and National Seismic Monitoring Centre participated in the Workshop. The event was opened by welcome speeches of Mr. Clemens von Heimendahl – the Director of ASB Georgia, Ms. Lena Nanushyan – the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Health (MoH) of the Republic of Armenia (attended online), Mr. Aleksandre Kutibashvili – the Head of the LEPL Emergency Situations Coordination & Urgent Assistance Center of the MoH Georgia and Dr. Silviu Domente – the Head of WHO Country Office Georgia. 

The first session of the Workshop was dedicated to the presentations. The second session of the Workshop was devoted to panel discussions and group work on cross -border cooperation mechanism. As a result of the workshop the draft action plan on cross-border cooperation was elaborated.
